READY2RESPOND First Aid Training was founded by Emergency Registered Nurse Tim Pickering, who brings extensive experience working in a major Emergency Department. After completing numerous First Aid courses over 35+ years, Tim noticed many were “tick-and-flick” programs that focused on qualification rather than real-world skills. He realised the best training is delivered by professionals with hands-on experience — paramedics, critical care and emergency nurses, EMTs, and emergency services personnel. Tim started READY2RESPOND with the goal of bringing real-world experience to every session. Using interactive simulation scenarios, participants practice what they learn, building confidence and skills that are immediately applicable in real emergencies. With a background as a personal trainer, RAAF Aviation Firefighter, and Emergency Nurse, Tim has the expertise to train teams and individuals to respond effectively when every second counts. Too often, patients in the Emergency Department arrive with conditions worsened by well-meaning but undertrained bystanders. READY2RESPOND goes beyond ticking boxes — the aim is to prepare you to save lives, reduce harm, and improve outcomes for your family, friends, and colleagues.
