READY2RESPOND First Aid Training was started by Emergency Registered Nurse Tim Pickering, who has actual experience, knowledge and skills working in a major Emergency Department.

Having done a lot of First Aid Courses run by trainers with no real healthcare experience, background or knowledge over the past 30 + years, and seeing a lot of 'Tick and Flick' just to get qualified courses made Tim wanted to do better.

On reflection, Tim realised that the only First Aid courses worth doing, were always run by experienced Paramedics and Critical Care Nurses.

Tim started READY2RESPOND First Aid Training with a goal to bring real-world experience to every training session and to use simulation scenarios to ensure you can practice what you've learnt..

With a former background as an Aviation Firefighter in the Royal Australian Air Force as well as his current Emergency Nursing experience and skills, Tim has first-hand expertise in handling critical situations where every second counts.

Too often, we see patients in the Emergency Department, whose conditions have worsened due to inadequate first aid from well-meaning but undertrained bystanders'.
